Wearing Gloves for COVID-19
Deep Clean
1. Before starting (and after finishing) a task, wash your hands with soap and water or if not available, with alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
2. During the task: maintain good hygiene by not touching your face and coughing or sneezing into your elbow.
3. After completing the task, think about what you’ve touched and consider whether there is a risk of spreading the germs from your gloves if you start a new task.
4. Taking off gloves: Carefully remove the first glove by gripping at the wrist edge without touching the skin and pull downwards away from the wrist, turning the glove inside out.
AM Retail Services provides a deep clean – a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of areas including cleaning behind furniture and equipment and less commonly touched surfaces to ensure the spread of infection is minimised.
In most cases client also will need scrubbing of floors and carpets, dusting high ceilings and scrubbing within cupboards.
AM Retail Services achieves effective disinfection through proper use of the correct chemicals that may vary depending on area and surface.
OH&S Updates
Our quarterly OHS meeting was held on the 10th of February 2022 using Microsoft Teams run by Louie with AM Retail managers and employee representatives. Attendees involved the following AM Retail Services management staff, Louie Karanikolos (admin manager), George Gasparinatos (Area manager) and employee representatives Donna Hughes, Wayne Hughes, Sharyn Khalil, and Jim Angelos.
It was noted in the meeting that there were no lost time injuries, and the Toolbox talk for January 2022 – Wearing gloves for covid-19 when cleaning was discussed in detail. It was also noted that there were no environmental incidents and no fines from regulators for the last 3 months.
The meeting also involved thorough analysis of our OH&S manual sections where no changes were made.
It was noted that our health and safety legal register was last reviewed on 21st April 2021 by AM Retail Services management and it was concluded that our company followed every legislation on our legal register by the Admin manager, Louie Karanikolos.
